As per the laymen language, we can say that males are more powerful than females. I can say this statement only confined only to a confined group of people. but the statement disproves for the determined in the work and confident in the decision making people. the perfect live example for the portrayed characters is Ms Ruchi sangvi. She is the first female engineer in the Facebook. in spite of all the hurdles, she overcomes every struggle and hurdles she finally reaches the success destination. she is a graduate in electrical and electronic engineering and good at coding. she is an employee in the oracle. one day she got a call from an anonymous number and she attended and replied. she went to that small office which can see as a minute in the initial state, but now it is the biggest platform for the social network ie Facebook. she contributed more and introduced the news feed.
while leaving the oracle organisation many treated as a mad one, but as per her daring decision model, she achieved her dreams and got a prominent place on the Facebook. the story of an entrepreneur never lies in other dreams, they will live in their dreams. in order to conquer the dreams of Ruchi, she left the Facebook and made an own organisation called Cove. it is a brave heart and to make her oppurtinutes to make her dream come true. she initially calculated the risk factor but she was driven by the passion of entrepreneur she achieved her goal in the span of small time.
she says Live in your dreams rather be a part of some others dreams.

POWER OF DECISION MAKING OPPORTUNITIES ASSESSMENT AND RISK TAKING ATTITUDE A KEY TO SUCCESSFUL CAREER.

Ruchi Sanghvi who from Pune, India went to USA for her Higher Education and then after her studies she got placed with MNC Company Oracle but when she got a call from Facebook ( a web-based social networking start-up of 22 individuals in 2005 whose CEO was a young college dropout), she saw some potential in the start-up and left Oracle to join Facebook but her collegues and others suggested her not to leave. This shows her ability to assess opportunity and take risk by leaving a well established brand and joined a start-up. She was also the first female engineer of Facebook.
But again she took up a decision when Facebook was popular and was valued as one of top company in the world. She thought of doing something on her own and in the country. So, she returned back to India and with her husband started a company called Cove which became successful and later it was acquired by Dropbox. This nature of Ruchi who was able to identify the opportunity in the market started a company by taking risk (i.e. quitting a top value company for the second time) and starting her own venture which proves her power of decision making.
With all this attributes Ruchi has proved that we can achieve the desired state or even higher and this is show that we can reach to the top either in business or job by possessing this attributes that Ruchi Possess. Ruchi has proved that neither gender nor size of business creates a barrier but our perception creates a barrier. So its our contribution and continuous focus on the work makes us successful.

Ruchi Sanghvi was 23 years old when she became the first female engineer at Facebook. She developed the news feed and saw the company grow from a small start-up into the world's biggest social network. Despite her successful career in Silicon Valley, she says when she decided to pursue engineering, she was confronted with old-fashioned views. She thinks that being a woman and an engineer has helped her career path.

"The perception of engineering has changed and the profession has become more versatile over the past few years, she said. According to Ruchi Sanghvi, companies in Silicon Valley are introducing progressive ideas and policies to facilitate a work-life balance for women and men alike. Extended parental leave, flexible working hours and childcare facilities at work are changes in the right direction, but she says at the end of the day women have to make certain choices.

"Women need to understand that it is possible to stay in the workforce," she says."A lot of women decide to take a back seat in their professional careers even before they are pregnant or are ready to have children. But Ruchi’s philosophy is that you should go full force ahead until you are ready for the next step. It is a balancing act and you need to make some trade-offs.

Ruchi Sanghvi is an entrepreneur who formerly worked in Facebook, where she developed one of the major innovation of Facebook, the ‘News Feeds’. She was the first woman engineer when she joined Facebook. When she was offered her job position there, Facebook was just a small start-up with a young CEO and employees consisting of college dropouts.

But she had to make her call and finally she decided to accept the proposal as she had the vision to create something new. She wanted to engage in something that drives her that challenges her. An in this way she developed the concept of news feed eventually.

The Second challenge came on her way when she implemented the ‘News Feed’ concept into Facebook. There was an outrage of masses that used the social platform to revert back the changes made. But she stayed bold and didn’t call back her decision.

And now, when she looks back she sees how far she has come across as news feed remains the most loved and crucial aspect of Facebook. Finally in late 2010, she quit Facebook and in 2011 started her own company: “COVE” which quickly gained prominence and was sold to Dropbox in 2012.

From her small excerpt of life we see how she could see and tap all the opportunities that were on her way and how well she tackled all the risks involved in the decisions she made.

Power of Decision Making, Opportunity Assessment and Risk taking Attitude

Ruchi Sanghvi is an Indian computer engineer. She was the first female engineer hired by Facebook.
Sanghvi graduated from engineering to product management at Facebook, where she oversaw Facebook Platform and News Feed. She was responsible for the company’s Platform product strategy and new product initiatives. Sanghvi was an early engineer at Facebook and one of the primary developers for News Feed. Prior to Facebook, she was a software engineer in the Real-Time Communication Group at Oracle. Sanghvi holds a bachelor's and master's degree in electrical computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
she quit Facebook and in 2011, she started her own company Cove, with two other co-founders. The company was sold to Dropbox in 2012 and Sanghvi joined Dropbox as VP of Operations. She left Dropbox in October 2013.

While working with oracle she got a call from to join Facebook and at that time Facebook was just a name and not popular and don’t even established, it’s just a start-up and just like everyone she doesn’t know about Facebook and she got a call from there. So, she had take a decision and it is very risky because she was already working for a very big company and to leave that company and work with a start-up of which she don’t know anything so it’s a very big decision to make. But despite of all the factors she decided to work with Facebook and she listen to her inner intuition. Now she started her own company.

So, she had that risk-taking attitude and high decision making power she think out of the box and take a biggest risk in her life which changes her entire life.
If I am at the place of Ruchi maybe I couldn’t take the risk and make that decision and I will continue to work with oracle.

To get successful in their career one must have these attributes because these are the main drivers that make a difference between the person who are successful and who are not.Leaving the organisation oracle to join a startup company facebook 22 people in 2005, This shows her risk taking ability as she left a secured job for a unsecured social media startup with no future. She became the first female engineer of Facebook- Passionate, decision maker, creator and an endless attributes that define her. Ruchi carries self confidence and is a person full of enthusiasm and determined towards her goal. She always had something creative, something new, to experiment with her. Was in contact with a significantly more prominent reason in life.
Self Confidence: Last but the most important attribute is self confidence, without which it is impossible to make decisions and build decision making attitude
She left facebook in 2010 when facebook was increasing a large number of clients to begin her own organization with her significant other. (i.e., COVE)

Power of Decision Making, Opportunity Assessment and Risk taking Attitude- RUCHI SANGHVI

When joining a start-up, don’t ask what position, what role:
Paytm's newest board member, Ruchi Sanghvi, needs no introduction to hyper growth companies. With a resume that boasts positions at Facebook and Dropbox, Sanghvi is an old hand in Silicon Valley. She is also quite familiar with the exhausting grind that start-ups spawn.

That was the reason Sanghvi quit Dropbox, her last company, late 2013. "I've been in the startup world for over 10 years. It was all about working 24/7. I wanted to step back, gain perspective about what was happening around me," she says, speaking over the phone from the US.

                          Sanghvi’s a Decision Maker:-
She Left Oracle and strong-willed to join Facebook subsequent her own path where she wants her to be ,made several products for Facebook, one of which is "News Feed", which is the most successful product of Facebook till date. Sanghvi’s Opportunity Recognition:-
She is a lady who is always excited, always ready to go ahead with a single goal i.e. to win. It was her enthusiasm that led her so far. She always had something creative in her to innovate and do something new, to experiment with her expertise; this spark leads to recognize the best opportunity to work.

Sanghvi's a Risk Taker:- After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in 2004, she was on her way to New York for a math modelling role at a derivatives trading firm. The tiny cubicle sizes and 100-hour weeks, with little time for much else, changed her mind. She decided to move West, without a job in hand. "It was difficult to quit without anything in hand," she says. "As a student on a visa, if things hadn't worked, I would have had to come back." Fortunately they did, landing her first at Oracle and then, Facebook.
