Dr. Metri is an eminent educator and researcher who held top leadership positions in leading institutes of India. Currently serving as Director at IIM Nagpur, he worked as Director at IIM Trichy, Dean L& T Institute of Project Management, Dean at (IMI) Delhi, Dean – MDI Gurgaon and more. He also served as Chairperson at AICTE, Delhi; AIMA Delhi, and HR & Innovation Committee, Delhi.

Dr. Metri studied Bachelor of Engineering from Government College of Engineering and Master of Engineering from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (Bombay) from where he did Doctor of Philosophy.

Dr. Metri started his career with Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering & Technology and later worked at K.E.S Engineering College and at BITS Pilanias Incharge of PH.D Programs. His leadership stints with reputed institutions include as Dean at MDI (Gurgaon), at IMI and at L&T Institute of Project Management and as Director at Indian Institute of Management Trichy.

He is the receiver of PreranaPuraskar from Government College of Engineering, Karad, Maharashtra and “Excellence in Education” and “Top Director” Award at Competition Success Review Group. His list of honors also includes “Kewal Nohria Award” from All India Management Association (AIMA) and “Distinguished Services Award” from the Indian Subcontinent Decision Sciences Institute.

Dr. Metri has served various prestigious stints as Chairperson of All India Board of Management Studies, AICTE Delhi, AIMA Board of Studies Delhi and HR & Innovation Committee, Bureau of Indian Standards, New Delhi. He is also a member of Indian National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO (INCCU).
