Dr Sanjay Verma is a researcher and educator par excellence. He currently works at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad as Professor. He has been at IIMA for about 2 decades after doing his Fellowship from another prestigious Indian Institute of Management Kolkata. His research work includes E- Governance, in Water, Energy, Agriculture Climate Change and Use of Information Technology in Government. He has taught and consulted many leading companies in retail, health, insurance, infrastructure education, BPO etc.

Dr. Sanjay’s completed his schooling at St. Anselms' School Ajmer and graduation at Government College Ajmer. He later did his MBA from Institute of Management Studies Bikaner. After serving for a few years in the industry he did his PhD and became a Fellow of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He has also been trained through Harvard Business School Executive Education Program.

After his MBA, Dr. Sanjay made a humble corporate beginning as Marketing Executive in Modern Suiting Limited in Alwar. Post his Fellowship from IIMC, he joined as Asst. Professor in Xavier Institute of Management later as Associate Professor at IIM Ahmedabad where he continues for last two decades.

Currently he is Professor Information Systems at IIM-A since 1999 where he teaches various courses on Information systems & strategy including Management Information Systems, Strategic Management of Information Technology etc.

Dr. Sanjay is a keen learner and an educator with special interests in field of Information System, Customer Relationship Management, Retail, Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence/Analytics with applications in Marketing/Operations.

He has also worked on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), e-Governance, Retail Marketing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Performance Measurement etc.

He has served as an independent Director in the boards of Punjab National Bank as well as, the Punjab and Sind Bank for implementation of functional strategies in these Banks.
