Shri Om Prakash Agarwal is a very respected person in his multiple roles of a social worker, philanthropist, and educationist all at the same time. He has held senior leadership & CEO positions at large industrial groups including Birla, Modern etc. He is dedicated and involved in diverse activities to contribute towards betterment of civil society for over 40 years as evident in his many associations he has with several social work trusts and foundations in Rajasthan. He believes in the philosophy that a literate India is a developed India.

OP Sir, as he is popularly called, earned his Bachelors degree in B.E. (Mech.) from BITS, Pilani in 1968 and then an MBA from the prestigious IIM, Ahmedabad in 1970. At IIM-A, he received the Govt. of India Merit Scholarship for being amongst the top 30 students of the batch (an I-Scholar).

Shri Agarwal has had a remarkable 40 years corporate career towards the end of which he held senior leadership including ED & CEO positions at large industrial groups like Birla, Modern and other Groups. Later, he switched to entrepreneurship and founded and promoted a Private Limited Company Neoteric Electricals (I) Ltd. for manufacturing Aluminum Conductors.

At present, Shri Agarwal owns and manages a boutique financial consulting firm.

For his earnest participation in social activities, Shri Agarwal was accorded “Four Avenue of Service” Citation and “Paul Harris Fellow” title by Rotary International. The Government of Rajasthan bestowed upon him prestigious State level “Bhamashah Samman” twice.

By the courtesy of his family trust, Mahadevalal Bhomrajka Public School was established in Kuchaman city of Rajasthan. He was instrumental in getting the CBSE affiliation for the school and was actively involved in its working. The family trust has aided a number of other developmental functions in the area. With cooperation of his wife Smt. Nirmala Agarwal, he is actively aiding efforts for the cause of Women’s Education in Rajasthan. Shri Agarwal loves teaching and he has also delivered lectures at many Management Institutions and Engineering colleges/ universities.
