Supremacy of Spss: a Statistical Solution Software

Supremacy of Spss: a Statistical Solution Software

Statisticians need not perform large calculations manually these days as they used to do in the 1960s till Norman H.Nie, C. Hadlai (Tex) Hull and Dale H. Bent had not developed the Statistical Package for Social Sciences(SPSS). They developed SPSS, the world’s trending statistical to solve the business and research problems. SPSS is an all-inclusive and flexible statistical analysis and data management solution which can take data from various kinds of files and then use them to generate tables, charts, plots, descriptive and inferential statistics and conduct complex statistical analysis. Organizations use this software to understand the data, analyzepast trends, confirm presumptions, and reaches to valid conclusions. Half of the IBM SPSS customers belong to the United States, however, 7% and 6% are in the United Kingdom and India respectively and the rest in other countries.

SPSS is popular in every domain, whether it is telecommunications, banking, finance, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, higher education, economics, government and obviously market research. SPSS is gaining its popularity due to its user interface and data handling solutions. One of the biggest advantages of the tool is a predictive analysis, which is very much needed to forecast outcomes accurately to solve business problems and reduce risks involved. This data is also used to form digital marketing strategies to increase profits and improve upon products and services of the business.

Businesses these days are using SPSS to know the performance of their products/services in the market and how the consumers are responding to them, so as to take better investment decisions. Companies like Accenture, TCS, American Express, McKinsey, eBay, Syntel, Deloitte and more, are using this statistical software to increase their productivity. With the SPSS software we can prepare statistical tables, produce high-quality graphs, make comparison of means by various parametric and non-parametric tests, and even perform the advanced statistical analysis like multiple regression, factor analysis, one way and two-way ANOVA tests. Most of the companies that are using IBM SPSS are found in the United States information technology industry.

Besides business, healthcare firms also need SPSS to develop the data- based model for complete patient care, offering the right health services at the right time. NGOs are using this tool to understand donor needs and increase the success of fundraising. Government agencies can apply this tool to enhance citizen services and public safety, to build proper vaccination systems as per requirement, or to provide proper transportation and even an education system.

SPSS is extremely easy to use as you need not write syntax that you have to do in other statistical software like R, Python and Java. It includes the advantages of MS-Excel, to see the dataset in totality, to have more transparency and confidence. The program is appropriate for the common man as one need not have mathematical or programming background, but little knowledge of statistics will work. In total, we can conclude that SPSS software can help you to convert big data into actionable insights which allow you to forecast the future and act accordingly.
