The most important question to ask is

Can you use this year productively outside of the university setting?

In these uncertain times, with health and financial emergencies, it makes more sense than ever to be in a protective learning environment then into the Market. Research from the past has shown that in crisis the students who have focused on courses and upskilling and building critical skills during the time of downturn have always got a higher career path and Money making ability than those who wasted a year or two waiting for things to be normal.

Time is something which is not infinite, Every one of us has fixed time in a day which does not return. Consider it like coins you have total 86400 Rs (seconds per day), If you don’t spend them today they will go away tomorrow. So this is not the time to wait and be unproductive. But to spend the time on strong management programs, which will upskill you towards a growth path. Few of the programs like IIM’s, MDI Gurgaon, Taxila Jaipur, Fore School and SP Jaipur have strong career-building paths for students in the current crisis.

It is unclear how much will change in 12 months. If you believe this is a short term phenomenon and life returns to something more normal soon. Then you should wait & see data coming from thinkers like Bill Gates who says ‘we will need to change the way we work and develop Companies’. like Tata Consultancy who plans to have 75% workforce work from home by 2025. Suggest that we should prepare for Big Change is how we live.  People who will change fast and do it now will have higher career growth.

Consider that every year of deferral will push you back one year of growth and will decrease the probability of your doing management course for higher growth and success.

You will be out in the world longer without the skill set and life will change and returning will be more costly.
